As Brad said don't sweat it, I have had some shockers this year so far even at 300 yards 92 for 20 scorer's 96 at 600. Yep check your sight's, screw's all that. Don't sweat it, this year has been tough for everyone, well maybe not Brad but for most of us

I could be a rude bugger and say throw away that silly sling and peep sights and get a front rest and rear bag and shoot f class! I need to give TR a go sometime but hard thing is finding a lefty that will let me borrow his gear.

So how did you two do over the weekend I shot Lyndhurst OPM, won the second range on the Saturday against Greg Emms by a super in bloody hot conditions. Was second by 3 pt's. After that had a very early night was in bed by 930. Shouldn't have bothered things went to shit on Sunday finished 5th overall. Greg dropped a total of 2 pt's in three ranges   started with a 60.6 and finished with two 59.6's off the top of my head. The only good thing to come of that is he's back in A grade now        So he's no longer in my grade.

No shooting for me for a few weeks, I fished a bream comp on sunday and won 500 bucks cash on a 1kg plus bream I caught near a pontoon! Went to the LGS this morning and put it down on a new tikka fox blasting rifle...

Just a rather boring 223. Sick of having fancy stuff to shoot foxes. Sounds odd but chasing expensive 6BR cases around the ute and paddocks gets a bit much, plus I want a mag that can carry a few extra crackers instead of single loading. 223 is a bit quieter too than a BR or dasher as the properties here seem to be starting to cop a bit of semi rural sprawl.

Still gets the job done and as you say plenty of cheap brass, projectiles etc. I have a 1 - 8 twist tikka bit of a multi purpose 223 but I've always loaded at least 60 grainer's in my other one.

Well I went to Cowra Cowboy guns and gear to get a new set of rings with the insert's to fix my windage issue, which it did and thanks Brett for setting it up as he said it was a pain in the butt to work with. Was going to shoot 700 yards but the missus call'd, she was going to a ride just out of Cowra and blew a piston in her 2 yr old Hi Lux, 2 hrs on the phone almost, she was pissed off and it's a fleet vehicle. Anyway, glad I just sighted in the old girl and tested my 06h 223 load's cause was very nasty at Bathurst. 24.5 o6h behind 69 smk = tiny group.

Sounds like a tough weekend.

I took the 6.5x55AI out to Necknock shooting 300yds and shot a 50 and a 53.1 maybe .2 can't remember wasn't too fussed on score was more checking two loads.

I used 140 JLK's 2213sc 49.5 and 50.5. Was a tricky day mirage coming and going and the wind puffing all around the shop. Anyway got a good 300 yd zero on the scope and the 50.5 load had a fantastic elevation waterline. I put 3 touching and a fourth a bullet width away and the other were pretty much same elevation so was happy with that.

What's your 6.5x55AI made on pretty good score when your testing loads   I have been toying with the idea of putting a heavy barrel on my T3 in 6.5x55 but that requires a new stock, mounts, scope and I have a tight as minister for war ;) Oh the the old girl ie omark 44 with BJD's put 5 into .75 which was a single hole, can't get down lower than oh about a 280 yard zero though.
