Hi all

With sadness I pass this; Cameron McEwan from Dalby/Tarra Rifle Club took his own life on Christmas Day 2015, R.I.P : I believe the funeral will be on the 8th of Janurary at Dalby

I am going to miss you Cam. One of the friendliest and most popular shooters I ever met.

For those that didnt know, Cameron was a member here on AV, posting under the name "singleshot". Not many including myself knew, but Cameron was suffering with depression until recently when those demons became too much to bear. I only got to meet him once, but have had many dealings with him in the past- sharing information via pm and of course buying and selling our spare target shooting gear. He was a great bloke, and I offer my sincere condolences to his family who will miss him dearly. The nationals this year wont be the same without him.

Look after yourselves, friends and family- dont keep quiet about depression- speak out and stop the black dog.

RIP Cameron.

This is indeed very sad news. Cameron and I spent a lot of time discussing rifles and calibres for FClass etc in recent years especially leading up to the world FClass champs. I remember speaking to him on the eve of leaving for the US and how keen he was to get there. He shared a lot of knowledge with other members of the 1K group here in the North and they will all be saddened by this news.
I cannot think of a bad word said by anyone about Cameron nor he saying a bad word about others. He really was a gentleman of the sport and like many, a quiet achiever.

RIP Cameron.

A sad day indeed Cameron was the true "gentleman and scholar' most others only aspire to be. He will be missed by many. RIP

Damn. That is a shame. Never had the pleasure of meeting Cam in person but spoke on the phone a few times and bought some gear off him. May he find the peace he sort.
RIP.
