So with 50 to a box, 500 to a brick, how many are in a carton :?:
Pay attention ... 555. He has 832 rounds left, carton and a half of 555s.

I guess you don't teach maths, Con. Bzzzzt wrong answer, 555 rounds to a brick, 10 bricks to a carton, so 5550 rounds to a carton. 5550 plus half carton, (2275), equals ???

Punishment for poor maths is to dress like a rabbit and hop around Camels place!

This is like guessing how many jelly beans in a bottle.
I'll say 10 packs of 555 per carton, so 8325 rounds.

Oh and back to the topic, 10 mm would be fantastic. Being able to do it repeatedly would be pretty rare for a hunting rifle I think.

Agreed that 10mm would be FANTASTIC whilst hunting. Of course, it's hard to measure/prove that with a single shot.

I'm struggling with 10mm at the range, but occasionally pull off some very nice (or is that lucky) groups.

Just checked, out of 35x5 groups on Sunday I managed roughly 5 that would come close to 10mm (quick and dirty measure). However, every shot (175) would have easily equated to a minute of bunny headshot.

So, it's relatively easy to get bunny head shots but harder to consistently pull 10mm or less at the range.

Thinking it through, I'm intrigued you're after 10mm groups in the field with a sporter barrel. It's your money Ralph... but do post pics/vids :)

  By that time I will be pretty keen to poke a few holes in a rabbit so my shooting might be a bit rushed. In the bunny will do.

Do you ever find it intriguing that we apply benchrest principles to building varmint rifles, but a rimfire is just a lowly rimfire. I think the Cooper is closer to a sporter built as a benchrest gun, and they guarantee 5 shots into 1/4" at 50 yards with match ammunition.
Cheers...

Define in your expectations, 'fantastic' accuracy at 50yards from a hunting orientated rimfire.

I'll go 10mm for 5 shot groups.
Cheers...

It can be done easily for one group but almost an impossibility as an average.
I like to base my rimfire accuracy on what it will do for a box, average of 10 5 shot groups, 5 10 shot or a combination.
Yet to find any cheap ammo that will even go sub Moa, some of the mid range target ammo gets down to around 0.9moa and the good stuff close to 0.8moa.
If you get there it wont be with hunting ammo.

1/2 groups at 50 is not bad,all of mine will do that...............except the little pink savage thingamy it is over an inch,I honestly think I have seen a lot of rimfires that are capable of better accuracy than the user is.

That applies for just about all rifles...
