ive been told jewell triggers are not the best option for when the rifle is going to get very dirty.

Re: JEWELL TRIGGER
well AFAIC it's a combo of over sized firing pin hole countersunk hole and a pin that needs the radius sorted

Re: JEWELL TRIGGER
as you can see the bolt has a problem if it does this to a good working load .
you can see why it cookie cuts the occasional primer .

Looks like a factory rem bolt? My 6Br primers on heavy loads look the same as that.

Re: JEWELL TRIGGER
Hi Guys,,
Had this problem myself with Rem. Bolt and 6BR. Sent bolt away and had firing pin hole bored out, then filled with a plug screwed and silver soldered in, and a new hole bored to take a .063 firing pin and the existing pin ground back to suit. No more problems even with heafty loads in the 6BR and 30br.
Cheers,
Trevor.

Re: JEWELL TRIGGER
Which primers are you running? Maybe try something with a harder cup first.

I had the same issue with a savage and going to rem 7 1/2 primers helped.
