I've got the same knife, it was bloody cheap. I sharpened it and now it's shaving sharp, I haven't used it though to see how well it's edge holds.

Keith I've used a couple of my ebay knives, they don't hold their edge as well as a quality knife but held it long enough to do the task. And at 14 bucks delivered, put 10 in your kit bag, they sharpen to shave sharp real easily.

Nice looking knife!

Trouble with most of the Chinese stuff is that steel is of dubious quality. Probably recycled tin cans.

As long as you have your sharpening gear handy and don't mind stopping to retouch the edge often.

At least if you lose it in the bush you're not going break down and cry about it.

Hard to beat a good old carbon steel blade for holding an edge. I keep my eyes open in the Op shops and Garage Sales for them. You can never have too many spare knives!

Didn't get used George. The big cull the farmer wanted done Saturday night never eventuated. We had to leave early and a thunderstorm made the planned cull area too wet anyway. Mark did the work on the two we got

Meant to report I used this on the last trip with Mark and was surprised it held its edge well. The sheath catch managed to dissolve on its own so that will be a bimbo request
