Re: Jeep Wrangler
If they are solid front and rear axle they will have better travel than anything new. I always thought they would make a good rig to shoot out off just can't fit 7 in like my pathy and luggage.
Hope it works out well.

Re: Jeep Wrangler
The starter was the straw that broke the camels back. Like yours, it was started a minimum 8-10 times a day. But hey I'm more than happy with the land cruiser atm but would like a turbo on it for the hauls up the steeper highway roads, perhaps a diesel V8 conversion sometime down the track but at the moment she gets me and the family where we need ta be and in good comfort as well.Stevil wrote:hey Gnome shame to hear bout ur starter motor experience, Mine got started atleast 6-7 times a day over 5 1/2 years and never missed a beat.
I also never replace a rotor or brake pad over 220k.
the current Holden Colarodo runs the VM 2.8 CRD which has been used in the Wrangler since 2007, which btw has more very similar power but more torque than the pos V8 they throw in the Landcruiser .
That'd be a good idea for sure. Make sure you stick a snorkel on it as it will like to breath better as well.Seddo wrote:A mob in the states make some big boy seat brackets that move them back 4", if its a little squeezy i will grab a set of those.

Love that crazy rear diff angle, but WTF is the armor? Glorified bunny hunting wagon....
Re: Jeep Wrangler
Death wobbles, known on Suzuki SWB vehicles as well.Waldo wrote:I was talking to a guy who has had a bit to do with them a few weeks back and he said they had installed lift kits etc. in a few and some of them became almost un-driveable while others were fine
He also said some who had put the kits in brought them back to return them to stock
Gotta admit they look pretty cool though
Cheers,
Waldo
If I was single, I'd look into a Wrangler as most are simply show ponies. Full service history, petrol and your set.
My advice, fit aggressive mud terrain tyres, and learn to drive it first. When and only when you can exceed the standard vehicles capabilities should you look at specing up.
Cheers...

I do know a dealer with a M2 so I can always ask to borrow it, ammo costs could be a little high though.Glenn wrote:Here's one for you Scott!

Re: Jeep Wrangler
The only performance orientated mods are to give it a 2" lift and fit some 31" tyres and then start playing, nothing crazy at all. It will need the usual bull bar, winch, radio, etc.Con wrote: My advice, fit aggressive mud terrain tyres, and learn to drive it first. Re: Jeep Wrangler
Having been in Wranglers that gun rack would hang the rifle below most people line of sight, particularly a scoped rifle (see the pic with the Marlin). May be ok spotlighting but it'd block my side view an annoying amount.

Now that sounds like a plan right there, will be able to do the "where did the car go when it's fired because of all the smoke it would make for a quick getaway!!The Raven wrote:Ahh, just fold down the windscreen and open the hatch....Gnome wrote:Oh that would be fun to hang the muzzle loader at almost 60 inch in length!!Seddo wrote:Overhead gun rack?
