Gary we used to have a rule, only pellets loaded in the muzzle for air gun wars, of course in the heat of battle the occasional one got put into the breech end, luckily we only had low powered springers that were mostly worn out.
A Spanish company, Setra, made a Sheridan clone in .177 and .22 in the 60's to the 80's that was also sold on the UK market after being neutered to below their 12 ft/lb limit.
Trying to get anything out of Greg is like squeezing blood out of a stone. I spoke to him (on the phone) in May last year and he had intended to make a batch of BE#1s for the classic version rifles. The BE#1s sit over the action like any other rifle. Emailed him several times since but drew blanks on all occasions.
Unfortunately (fortunately?) I no longer need one.
