Lets just examine what is potentially going down here, Camel is heading south to try and shoot one the Victorian's sacred horned cows of the forest :o

In retribution I may have to shoot a rabbit for every one of them thar Sambar that Camel manages to shoot

Good luck, go get em the weather over the weekend should be great 8)
Yeah Waldo, that sounds like a deal to me, just as long as its not weight for weight, that would be a fair few rabbits to make up for one horny cow.

Don't you ever want to shoot a rabbit again Waldo?
Don't forget that the specters of the forest, the spooks of the Deer gene pool, just cannot be shot by just anyone!
It takes years of armed mountaineering, thousands of hours of internet postulating (well Camel DOES cover that point) and the minimum of a 460 Weatherby in order penetrate the armour plated skin.

The majestic Sambar simply will not allow itself to be shot by the step sister of that common whore Miss 30'06, who interbred with that all to altruistic aged geriatric the .338 Winchester! (insert hand slamming down on lectern).

The .338'06 simply can not and should not be allowed to be pointed in the direction of one of natures most majestic beings.

I can only imagine the look on Camels face when he sees a hill. That is bound to be a daunting view considering the flat lifeless country that is the domain of the Camel :-)

I've been busting my ass trying to find some camel-suitable land haha, got a property where we can walk on the flat and shoot at them up a hill haha. They might even roll to our feet if we're lucky enough to deck one [SMILING FACE WITH OPEN MOUTH]

Haven't seen one there yet but looks ok for a last light hunt as they feed down. Image

Yeah you know your new property is alright when you're whistling foxes at night and you get honked about 30 times from the private bush ;)
If the freezers ever in desperate need to be filled I reckon I could go roll one with the 22mag and olight haha

Was thinking the same thing. Probably never had to aim up hill  the lungs are going to be burning.

Meriwa may not be sambar country but last time i was there it did have hills that Camel would have had to aim up or down if he wanted to shoot something

Well I made it up hill and down hill, and am still in one piece.................I think. Didn't get to fire a shot, but that's hunting, great being in some pretty impressive country with some pretty impressive blokes.

Bruce, the lungs, legs, and everything in between was burning, but I had a great time. :D

DSD it was a long time ago I lived up there mate, but great part of the world to be dragged up in. :D Merriwa
