I used to chase pigs with a couple of blokes that bought big knives like these as abit of a joke and competition until 1 of them turned up with a 1907 pattern bayonet. Trouble was you needed to strap it to your leg so it did not get caught up on anything and so you did not have to worry about it when running.
Trouble with that was they are so long that if you tied the bottom you could not bend your knee successfully enough to run. We ended up using poly pipe to hold it as it bent so you could climb over stuff and the bayonet just slid up and down. Next problem was trying to control it and an angry boar when the dogs pissed off to catch another and trying not hit them if they hung around. Needless to say it did not hang around long.

I'm a bit late to the table. Here's most of 'em, these sit in a bag and don't really get used, but there's a few more Mora's, Opinels, Victorianox's and Leathermans floating around in bags and draws around the place, as well as the one knife I use regularly, my Swiss Army Knife Champ, which I can't bloody find. Anywho, axes will have to wait till tomorrow

Yeah mate, 2 and 4 are Asian, 2 is an Indonesian Golok, 4 is a Malaysian Parang, 3 is a Parang but made by Condor Knife and Tool in El Salvador...........the best of the lot is number 4, you can buy them for under $10 at any hardware store or market in Malaysia, brilliant bit of kit, great for around the garden.

I don't have anything that resembles a collection. In fact, I have only two types of fixed bladed knives none of which would impress here.

I do have a few folders but they aren't anything flash either. The oldest one is an 'eye witness' that my father bought, and I still have a decent scar on my thumb from playing with it as a kid...I definitely saw bone when that slipped...

This sucker got delivered to my house yesterday a Schrade SCHF36 survival knife. It is made of 1095 steel and seems to be a top knife.
