So I took thew 300 for a drive last Sundee and put a couple of 180 gr Nosler Partition through some paper. All good just printing 3" high at 100m clicked it down a few another was sent and happy with that I thought I would check out where the 110gr VMax I had were going.
One shot same height................... but a lovely side profile hole about 4" to the right
Over Stabilized ?

Different point of aim yep but sideways
90 degrees to target?
Over stabilised they fly apart, under stabilised generally shows sideways (or part thereof).
The last time I heard of a genuine sideways target was with a smoothbore over distance. Have you checked the rifling lately?

After the run of luck he has had with that particular Sako, nothing would surprise me.

I'd say it's just the rifle has a dislike for that pill, I tried the 25g Vmax thru my .17Rem and it did the same thing with a near perfect profile of the pill on paper, 25g HP a perfect tiny .17cal hole. Parked the box of pills and I think in the end gave them to someone else.
Sorry didn't read the sideways bit. Did you fire any others or just that one?
If it hits where you are aiming does it matter if its going sideways through a bunny
