Yeah, but that tube mag lets you use on of these.........

Lots of fun for quick reloads when plinking!

Yep, seen the speed loader. They are trying to flog one at the local range, and I suspect I'm the only Henry owner that goes there...

Nice idea but you either have to fill it in the field or have a long ammo box to lock it in.

There's another problem, you can't get one for the other Henry's. I imagine the speed loader for the 45-70 would be a little heavy

I'm ordering a smaller one for the ammo box...... you can get them in 6 and 11 round lengths as well........

...... and yeah, I can't use one on my 30-30, either! :D

I've been tempted to get one, realising it will help with quick reloads but I'm not sure how often I'd need to do that.

More importantly, it would probably make me shoot a lot more ammo than I really need to :D

If you end up with something with a side loading gate then in the real world there is no need for one.
Even when bombing up mobs of pigs I would rarely fire more than 4-5 shots from one position, you can easily slip another few rounds in the load gate while changing position.

That's why I like side loading gates. If/when I ever purchase a C/F lever I'll have to pass on the Henry's simply because of that.

Went to the LGS this morning- new rossi standard length 357/38SPL $950. Has the rail on it to attach a scope. Will need to buy a scope (or a red dot) and the only thing I dont like about it is the metal butt plate. Action is smoother than a new marlin and the trigger is nicer too. Cant get a marlin 357.

Or the 22 mags there are used henry and winchester in the rack. Winchester is smooth to cycle but trigger is crap and it is looking a bit tired. Magazine tube is a little loose. Henry is a little stiffer to cycle, trigger is fine. Both just under 900. Nothing new in the shop in 22 mag lever.
Category B........I can see that spending $1k on that stuff keeps the Marlin in the picture :D
