Advice on finishing a Geoff slee gunstock.??Pictures Added.!

I have a very nice, mechanically, Sako 461 .222. The stock though has really seen better days.

I would like a really nice wooden ,maybe walntu stock. I gave Geoff Slee a call and he gave a quote of appx $800 + $150 for some chequering if wanted.

Trevort, having looked at your photos, of his finished "custom" stocks, is that about the money he has quoted you.

Had a look at the Boyd's ?? or Richards site in the US; lovely walnut stocks, however cost US$900!

Is that $900 for exhibition grade ?

$450 US = about $600 AUS with the price of the dollar at moment.
