Yeah mate , cant wait to pop some bunnies...BUT, they tell me there is a chronic shortage of ammo at the moment, Feds, Wins and Hornady might have to start hand loading for it.

I love the 22/250 and yours is working well.

SA.....22-250 hornady Superformance is back on the shelf in Melbourne picking up few boxes this afternoon haven't been able to get any for a couple of months

Thanks bt and thanks for the offer, I also have a .223 and a .260 in the same model ...I must admit though I was going to buy a Steyr pro varmint in 22-250 but at that time there was a 6 month wait so stuff it I said and bought another sako.

from an aesthetic viewpoint you definitely made the right choice

I hope so mate....I have 2 more sakos and both of them had some marks on them . The .260 had a scratch down the bolt handle and marks on the muzzle where it had been leaning in a rack .The .223 also had rack marks , I chose to ignore these marks and just start shooting them . This time I wanted the 22-250 to be blemish free so after a bit of nagging from my part , Berettas manager hand picked one out for me resulting in a near perfect rifle. I say near perfect cos the crowns chamfer (cutting into the bore ) and lands had some nasty little nicks on it so a trip to a gunsmith was in order to which he easily cleaned them up . As you can see after only 40 rounds (including break in ) its a good shooter and has potential to shoot even tighter once the barrel settles in.
