Re: Projectile swap meet
Marcus this thread got a bit derailed. The point is to offer what you have to anyone that wants them, not as a direct trade, free participation.
If every one does that then the pool of projies is massive. I give you something you need, someone else gives me what I need etc etc.
So I hope everyone is listening.
How many do you want to test? PM your address

Re: Projectile swap meet
5 will do! Just need to suss out a few things in regards to the size and shape of them. The idea (that I'm kinda stealing from dad) is a 7mm-300WSM when I shoot out the barrel in my 300WSM. I figure if I can throw the same weight projectiles with a better BC, why not? Gotta see how they'll fit in the mag first and go from there. Will be looking at doing it within a year if I keep shooting rabbits with the 300 haha.deye223 wrote:yep 15 enough to start .Space Cadet wrote:Anyone got any 180gr 7mm berger hunting VLD's? I've got stuff all to trade, are you interested in 30 cal 180gr TTSX's, 110 Vmax's or 185gr VLD hunting projectiles?

I fully understand where you are going with this.Camel wrote:Space Cadet wrote:Anyone got any 180gr7mmberger hunting VLD's? Only after a couple to look at and play with.

Calibre vs cartridge
I am guessing being a Navy man you also get irritated by people calling a rifle a gun?

Nah Dave, I'm very ok with others showing their ignorance if they want to. Cartridges and calibres being two totally different things, at least rifles and guns are similar.
"This is my rifle (holding SLR above head arms extended), this is my gun (lowering arms and holding crutch), this is for shooting (arms up again) this is for fun (again grabbing crutch)" all the while double timing around the parade ground. I watched too many recruits going through this routine, to get that basic one wrong.
