I don't have one but the 243 would get my vote,
I have a nice 22-250 and would not sell or trade it for the life of me but it may one day become AI version purely for the brass stretching and or even a 243 after all the reading Ive done the figures don't lie

Tex my sporter 22/250 does about 3400fps with varget, below max
my 22x47l gets 3800fps with Varget and there is room for more.
Never heard of CFE powder but if you get me some I would like to see what I could get the 22x47 to do

A lot of grovelling and eBaying off most of my possessions. Yep, the FAR will be cheaper/easierB4408 wrote:What did it cost you?? Probably cheaper from FARThe Raven wrote:Mrs Raven has issued me a PTA

To be fair, she's appreciated me eBaying stuff to fund it rather than just waving the plastic (and explaining later).

PTA approved by Mrs Raven, placed the order, now waiting on the PTA from the other guys.
Don't think I'll have it in time for the Vic get together...Oh well, next time.

Ruger Hawkeye Predator .223
May not be what some would want but it fills a nice gap for me.

Maybe not mate, but they shoot alright and look pretty flash. So no dramas with that selection from me.

And now all we have to do is convince you to put a barrel on it with the right sized hole
