Bet barrel life isn't real good , plenty of muzzle blast so no good at night . They would be like a tracer round in the daytime

Need a mile long barrel just to ensure the powder got burnt.
Imagine how heavy the barrel would be 50BMG OD with a .17 ID...

As someone pointed out this is probably a fake wildcat. It's unlikely to be 50BMG brass because of the taper/rim.

If I had to guess, I'd say 17-303, if you compare the diameter of the bullet, to the case diameter at the shoulder. Failing that, something old, rimmed and huge, and no, I'm not talking about Camel.
