I've not long started reloading for the 30/30 (mainly because the young fella had kindly built up a reserve of empty factory rounds, he is good like that kinda like an empty brass producing factory) of which almost all of it is Remington and so far with what I've done its been fine.

So I'll vote for the Remington :D

G'day Big G,
I have found Federal to be ok . . . . . . . . . . .
However I am a big fan of PMC brass (when you can find it that is).
PMC is heavier (thicker), more consistent in weight and I find it lasts a lot longer with heavier charges.

Sorry not to be of much help actually, I guess these days most brass will be pretty acceptable - it depends on if you are happy to lose a few working the lever.

Bit like Daisy in that I run about 5 different brands, haven't noticed any difference although I do try to keep them the same brand if Im load testing or shooting comp.

I have a feeling I split the necks on the Winchester earlier than PMC or Rem. But I don't know how many times the Win was reloaded before I scored them (I got some with the rifle), so that's totally unfair......

But my preference is for the PMC (thanks Camel!). I trimmed it once when I first got it, and it's doing fine.

I got sent 600+ rounds by a good guy who had sold his 30-30 it was a mixed batch when I started I just pulling 50 out and loading them after a while I spent some time and separated them PMC FC Win Win Super Norma

They all shoot well I like the win brass it is very consistent
