That new bullet is not ugly JR. Now i can order a shitload before the boffins beat me to it. After i buy em all then we can tell who's making them cause he ain't gunna get jackets for atleast 6 months like the rest of the bullet makers i talked to over the weekend.
Just got back from the Hunter nationals two days early. That was the fucking last time this little black duck shoots that piece of crap cartridge called a rimfire. So grumpy and pissed that the 30 BR, new stock and all, packed up and went home without firing a shot. Fuck i hate rimfires.
Now if i can swing the Chairman (bestess mate Sully) to have a Two Gun that is Open and Custom centrefire only  i might shoot Hunter again and not once in three years. What do ya reckon Kenny and Steven. Lets get the ball rollin on this forum so i can get hated in BR (more) like i'm loved in F Class (less). Fuck i hate rimfires.

Tony,

Not getting into that shitfight...the rimfire blokes tried something like that at Benchrest Bulletin...got shot down in flames by the centrefire blokes.

You haven't shown us a pic of your new stock yet either slack arse have you?
I'd rather shoot rimfires then chase a little white ball around all day...easier to break golf clubs then a rifle worth thousands though I suppose.

I love you Queenslanders...you make up your on classes and your own Chairmans as well.

Just kidding on the Two Gun and i know it aint ever going to happen. But it sure would be nice if we could bypass those rimfires. As much as i hate to admit it, the rimfire and centrefire Two Gun is a good setup. The most expensive bits of sporting equipment i own is my golf clubs. Way more money can be spent on golf than one may think. A single shaft for a driver or long iron will cost as much as a good barrel. Nike One competition balls are worth $90 a dozen. The list goes on. As for the stock, I am keeping this one too myself for a while. With our Chairpersons, that is democracy at work. Just remember, if it wasn't for us Queerlanders, we wouldn't be all shooting VFS or Custom centrefire now would we? 58 custom guns in rimfire and centrefire shot at Springsure over the weekend. Now that is rivalling BR, and this in a town that has only 2 pubs and one bank. Springsure, i was told, is extending their benchline to 25 from their 15 because of the number of shooters turned away trying to get into the custom two gun. Amazing what a two gun and Hall of Fame points in Hunter can do to double numbers.

Nitro

Boffins in our sport are the ones that buy all the good crap about, tell one and all all about it, and never actually shoot competition. We have heaps of them up our way. There are more Stolle Pandas and Farleys about than what i can count, but on BR days anywhere in FNQ, you never see these guys, but i keep getting told about the tiny little groups they shot on plinking day. As for the jackets, the US State department has changed a shitload of laws so getting jackets is nowhere as easy as it was before. Kenny did tell me last night that he will get some by November. Dave Harrison doesn't know when like most of the others. Niether does Charlie Robinson. All i know is that custom bullets in this country are going to be a lot dearer very soon.

Anyway, for those interested, the pills JR tested are the ones i got a sample of from KC, or for those that don't know him, its Kenny Crowle in Loganlea. He has about 900 or so already made still for sale. They are 162 grain flat based, about a 12 secant ogive on the 1.200" jacket. If any of you guys are using KCs 68 grain 6 mils, these are as good as those for consistancy and are as good across my measuring gear as it gets. Very even B to O and BL. Meplats are very uniform at about 65 thou.
