New Stock

Post by Ned Kelly »

G'day All,
The metal work for this stock is nearing delivery. Then we'll see if it's good enough for long range work.
I'll finish the exterior shaping after the inletting is done. This is all done by hand so far. I've also made sure it is ambidextrous so anyone can use it.
I've got a 6BR 1:14T Maddco and a 223 1:8T Maddco screwed into a Rem40XBR (2 bolts) with Jewel HVR fitted up.
I hope to have this stock a Rem Custom shop Kevlar stock and a nice piece of Walnut in a Rem40XBR pattern from Geoff Slee (I made it on his stock making course) that I'll also inlet and checker.
This Walnut stock will be a classy F/TR stock with Anschutz rail fitted.
Something a little different on the shooting mound.
Cheerio Ned
