New Furniture

Post by Glenn »

I've had my 6x47 Lapua for five years and have always had an issue with the stock.
Its a BR stock and would be perfect for that but is a bit awkward out of the car spotlighting.
To be honest it was a pain in the arse!
Heavy!

I did not want just any old stock to replace it!
I want a walnut thumbhole stock!

Thanks to a gentleman from here I ended up finding one!
It has changed the whole gun!
The balance is perfect it works great out of the car.

It now looks like "proper" Varmint gun!

That is a nice looking stick of wood attached to that rifle, the mounts are a huge improvement too!

Much, much better.

Really nice looking rifle, and I am not much of a thumb hole fan.

Nice choice Glenn, is the forearm cross section flat or curved on the bottom?

Thanks!

I changed the scope and mounts awhile ago.

No Trevor he dose not have anymore, I brought all he had!
You can get them straight from the people who make them http://www.shurleybrothers.com/

Thanks Chris!!!!

Bruce I will get a picture for you of the forend.
It has the corners rounded off a fair bit but there is still a small flat there.

Thanks again for the positive responses.

thats why it looks familiar, Our mutual friend directed me to that site a while back. But thinking of plastic I have mentally plumped for a McMillan.

But that looks very fine, very fine indeed........
