Re: 5 Trout in 50min
Wife came up to the farm with me this afternoon, never caught a fresh water fish in her life, first cast she had a 25cm brown, we caught another 2 in about 15min before we managed to put the reel out of action.

Take someone who hasn't picked up a rod in 5 years, never caught a trout and manage to get one very first cast.

Re: 5 Trout in 50min
TYB is home and my brother was down so went for a quick fish yesterday.
Brother isn't much of a fisherman but still managed to catch a feed.
I was using a little vibrax celta with a rainbow coloured blade, ended up with 5 20-25cm browns. Set a rod up with a green/black celta for my brother and he hammered the rainbows, pulled 3 out of one small hole form 30-45cm, TYB was using a celta with a fluro orange blade without luck so swapped to a celta the same as my brother and landed 4 little rainbows biggest 27cm.
Not bad for 2 hours
Kept the bigger rainbows and cooked them in the smoker.
First time I have noticed a real preference in lures from different species. Might be coincidence, I guess time will tell but I have used a similar coloured lure for 3 trips and the total is 15 brown 1 rainbow while after yesterday the green/black is 0 brown 7 rainbow.
Rolled a few bunnys as well and the myxo is into them already.

Good effort on the fish mate, haven't had a feed of trout for a fair few years now. Myxo on the go out here in places, not a lot, but still not good from my point of view.
