How much are these things? I will be in the market for a .22 in the next 12 months and would love to buy Aussie. However it has to be value. Are they stainless?

Ha, rapid fire is the first target shot and I that's when I had the issues with case hang ups so did pretty poorly not getting all shots away in time.

Stay tuned as I get to know it and try some different ammo.

Cerakoted metal work. Retail is around $990.

Hmmm how does cerakote compare to stainless for rough use. I am not a spoiler of rifles.

At least as good if not better. My deer rifle has a CM action and stainless barrel which has been cerakoted. It has been soaked through several times, dragged through the scrub and nearly frozen lots of times and looks like new.

Perhaps reading the post might help with your accuracy?

Haven't we been over this before Johno? Didn't buy a Bmag because they are a horrible rifle.

Picked up my Crossover last Thursday. Shot it over the weekend. The testing have done so far is below.
Shot at 50m. Shoot five, run a bore snake through and shoot five and so on. The F is the fouling shot. SE, is shooter error.

Con's

Trigger is a bit heavy then what a like.
It's not real enthusiastic about ejecting spend brass.
Barrel was not free floated like it should have been (Is now).

Pro's

Love the Cerakote.
The stock is very scratch resistant.
Shoot's well in the poring rain  ;) (we got wet) and cleans up nice.

Sorry i can't get the pic's to show up :?

I just gave mine a trigger tidy up, polished sear and other do dadd thingy and shortened up both springs. Shot a PB at field rifle last night. Ammo, test over a bench this weekend and report to follow.

Disappointing that in all 3 reports floating between here and AHN, not quite right ejection seems an issue. If you baby the bolt, one I played with would leave an empty in the action.
Cheers...

Quick and dirty range report lithgow crossover.

A test with some various 22 ammo today using a weaver 6-20 grand slam. Found out a bit late on that it doesn't like free recoiling. For a hunting and field rifle I'm pretty happy. Especially as it seems to shoot with cheaper ammoImageImageImageImage
Yes I know the bench is a mess. Strange, but it's one of the few times that my OCD doesn't kick in.

Got mine as a 50th birthday present 2 weeks ago...very happy with it, trigger is a little heavy but I will fix that.
Points well, and off the bench it shoots well.
