My young fella has been biusily chipping away flipping burgers at Macca's and squirreled a few bucks away, he would like to put a reasonable scope the 17hmr he uses, looking around the Vortex Diamondback seems to fit what he's looking for however the V-plex reticle looks very very fine on their website, anyone have a Vortex scope with that reticle, how do you find it ?
Cheers
Thoughts on Vortex V-plex ?

What magnification ? They seem to be different on different models , I've got a viper 6.5-20x50 mil dot and a viper pst 6-24x50 Ebr mil reticle and have no problems picking up the crosshairs to give you some idea of reticle thickness

4-12 was what he is looking at mate, I've got a Viper 4-16 on the 22.250 with the bdc, yeah its fine. i struggle with some nights if trying to hold a toey fox in the edge of the light .

The V Plex is pretty fine, but young eyes should be able to cope well enough, best to get him to look through a couple in the gun shop if thats an option?

I had a Vplex Wide in a Viper 6-20x44.
It is a nice reticle I reckon.
