300 and 400 yards at the Hamilton range

Post by Branxhunter »

It was 10 ring targets at 300 and 400 yards at the Hamilton range this last Saturday. The weather was very pleasant, and a mate of mine came along for his first go at F class and came second overall using my Omark - it was great to see him enjoying himself.

Here are some photos - enjoy.

South west Victoria, about an hour from the coast, and an hour from the SA border.

Approx 3.5 hrs west of Melbourne.

Kicken is onto it.

Mark that stock you have on your new bang stick got me on the mcmillan site looking at the hunter benchrest stock. I could still put a bipod on it and scare the varmints and have a real crack at 300m and maybe even 500m fly if I put a big enough scope on the 20 dasher.

Target shooting is a lot of fun

I had a crack at 300 with my bog standard 243 an old BSA shot a respectable 105 for a first timer. was holding about 2-3 inch's to the right for the wind tends to be a mite blowy at Bathurst. Will have to see how I go with my t3 6.5x55 and 140 Hornady HPBT
