Re: What Brand Reloading Dies Do You Use?
I've used over the years many brands including super simplex, hornady, & redding
Recent times I mainly use RCBS, mainly because I have been using the s type dies.
I've bought some Forster dies and they appear to be well made for my 7/08.
I've never had any majors using any of them but probably have a leaning towards the RCBS.

Re: What Brand Reloading Dies Do You Use?
Hi, my name is Waldo and I use Lee stufft
Well I'm not afraid to admit it I like and use Lee dies
I did have a Simplex press and some dies from back in the late 70's and resurrected it when I get back into C/fire rifles but to be honest never really came to grips with them. I brought the cheapest Lee press just to run a FCD for the 45/70 and ended up buying Lee dies for everything else.
I've since off loaded most of the Simplex stuff, may have one or two dies sets left if anyone wants any (not sure which cal)?
Plus I'm still using the very simple (cheap) Lee press, will need to get Hornady dies for the 5.6x57 as there is no choice, be interesting to see how they compare.
Cheers,
Waldo

KJD
I have a mixture of RCBS, Redding and Hornady. By choice I would get Redding if I could afford them.

For the run of the mill stuff ive used Simplex, Lee, Reeding, RCBS and i think there is a set of 25-20 Lyman dies in there somewhere ?
For the good stuff, i'm using Forster Ultra for the 223, and a combo of Whidden F/L and Wilson seaters for the Dasher

Not a fan of the lock ring but other than that cant fault them. If they turn out ammo that is any less accurate than others I cant pick it and I have dies from virtually every manufacturer. Some of my Lee pistol dies would be approaching 50,000 rounds loaded.
The Lee RGB dies are great value, while a 2 die set from most manufacturers is $60+ the RGB are less than $30.

Yeh, when I grab the Hornady dies for the 5.6 I may grab a handful of their lock rings.220 wrote:+1Waldo wrote:Hi, my name is Waldo and I use Lee stufft

Yep def a fan of them. So many people seem to have problems with there collet dies but I have loaded plenty of rounds with them without and issue and they shoot bloody well.220 wrote:+1Waldo wrote:Hi, my name is Waldo and I use Lee stufft
