at the IBS 1000yd BR Nationals held over the weekend

Mike Gaizaukas Shot a Tentative New HG World Record Group of 2.857 inches.

I will be giving some long shooting a go when I have finished the 300WM, plenty of flat empty space out here. I really want to do some goat busting from one horizon to the next.

I have done the long range goat thing, I want an 800m crow. Just need to find the time and place to be able to set a rotting carcase up 800m away.
Pretty much most of the 1000yd results are spectacular shooting especially when you consider australian ranges are open and on undulating ground. Some of those sheltered flat us ranges would be good to have a go on

mr gaizuskas used the following for his tentative world record HG group

calibre 300wsm,BAT action,kreiger barrel, knightforce scope.

also interesting, that a competitor was disqualified for keeping a round chambered between the end of the sighter period and the commencement of the record target.
