I reckon .... some Hoppes, bronze brushes and a stock coat to keep the yuck off your nice timbers finish. Maybe a bottle of Shellite to wash the brushes in after the hoppes is used...seems to save them a bit :D

pd,

The Hoppes or similar type of solvent is used first up to remove the carbon/powder (black crap) out of the barrell with a couple of wet patches and then a few strokes (8-10) of a wet brush then dry patch. This exposes the copper for the sweets :D

If you put sweets on a bronze brush ...you wont have a brush for very long as it's a copper solvent....it will eat the brush.

Have you read Rinso's post ?

Mate you can use Sweets in any barrel just dont leave it in for more the about 30 minutes. Nearly every benchrest shooter I know uses Sweets to remove copper in there S/Steel barrels.

Well Kenny,

Never said I was but I was there pretending....there were around ten HOFers there and I beat 1 or 2.... Most of them made the top ten in the 2 Gun Grand Agg so a 10th place was reasonable. I also asked Bazza about 200metre fly at Silverdale and guess what he said...you guessed it 200yards....SMOWAYP you pretenders.
