Looks good Keith, now you need a couple of aerials sticking up. Its easy to see from the photo why you have been busy. Chucking donuts in the carpark.

Keith, how are you finding the Colorado?
My long time chariot (Falcon RTV) is nearing the point where it needs to be put "out in the long paddock". Therefore I am assessing options.
If you don't mind me asking, can you give me a ballpark price?
Ta.

Re: New Bullbar and sidesteps
Hi mate, I'm really liking it, fuel consumption so far averages in the low 9L/100km, like every modern ute the interior is very hard plastic but that means it will be tough.
I love the technology in it and all the read outs you can get with regards to fuel, voltage and other bits and pieces the 7" mylink entertainment system works well with my iPhone.
The 6sp Auto trans seems very good it doesn't hunt for gears and changes are fast and smooth for something so big.
The engine has heaps of power 500nm with 3,500kg towing capacity
Two things bug me is that the ride is bouncy compared to a car but this was expected and the engine is a bit loud but all up I really love the car in the 2100km I've driven it.
I got my ute, an LX for $41,372 with tow pack $700rrp, canopy $3000 rrp, headlight and bonnet protectors, dash mat, floor mats, tub liner, reverse camera, wind visor thingos (getting fitted next service) 3year 100k km warranty, 3 year free scheduled servicing (dealer threw in another 3 yrs if you get it serviced with them I need to look into that to see if it's worthwhile)
A week later they had taken another $2k off the price and threw in an extra two years warranty but in saying that I screwed them plenty hard and had 4 dealers on the go at once and doubt I could have gotten much better on the price.
The invoice said I had over $14,000 of discounts off the RRP.
So my advice is play your dealers hard. The bloke I bought mine off was great and as honest as you'd get a car dealer and can refer you to him if you are interested and you can tell him you want the same deal as I got. That being said if Moss Vale Holden had one in stock I would have bought off of them as they were very good also.
I got a bloody good price for my bar and steps but that was through work so it won't apply to you but that was through Opposite Lock Narellan and they have been great to deal with so far.
The bar Retails for $1549 and the side steps $750 plus fitting.
I hope this helps mate.

Kieth, sounds and looks like a good deal.
Would be interested to hear in the future how the auto goes towing a heavy load especially on some steeper hills. Can you lock it into low gear?

Sounds like you got a cracker of a deal, now lets see some pictures of it covered in mud with a rifle out the window and some dead stuff on the bullbar

Re: New Bullbar and sidesteps
You can select gears mate so yeah. I know the trans in the hilux's overheated but haven't heard of it happening with the Colorados.
The trans is the same one from the V8 commodores from what I understand and the autos in the commodores have or at least used to have higher towing capacities than the manuals.
I can't wait to get out shooting with it Bimbo got a trip booked the end of July!
