Question for you gurus out there, is there such a thing as a body reamer that doesn't do the neck and throat ?

Yeah if you order the finish reamer without a the specific neck diameter.what are you trying to achieve exactly?

Have a look in the PTG or Manson websites. The easy answer is I don't know.

Yes ... not liked though because every reamer run in after can compound errors ... if you get what I mean. When the G&G crew were doing their compact wildcats like the 270Hog etc... I think that Dave Stendall was using a body reamer then following up with whatever neck/throat size was required.

In a sense a 6x45 made by running the 223Rem reamer in, followed by the 6mm neck/throater achieves the same result. So body reamers aren't popular as on its own, its useless.
Cheers...

As Con says a lot of the accuracy nuts on forums such as Saubier say its not the preferred way as it increases the chances of imperfection,

No matter what his reputation became, Clancy did very good work and he used separate reamers a lot,

It can be done and done well

And to his credit, he had neck/throaters in about 0.002" diameter differences across many calibers allowing almost infinite choices.
