I have just had FWB agree to sending me a 600mm barrel, the one sleeved for the 800x 20.4 Joule Field Target rifle.
It will cost ( they have my Visa number) but now you can guess what I might do with it I'll need some advice about who could be trusted to profile its rear end.
Lewis and I have already been talking up the new Sporter. Perhaps if we had a few get together we could get Lewis to revive FWB interest in the .20 cal. Then we help Lewis to get off his bottom and prove to Angus that he really was/is the greatest icon of the OZ air rifle world. Only the good guys need apply for preferred buyer status - shut out the trouble makers and give Lewis a smooth ride.
While my foot heals from a pretty nasty little operation my Greenfield at the farm lies idol, but a neighbour farmer has jumped in and been keeping the place spick with his Greenfield; mine's locked up; and Wendy has done the last two mowing jobs here at home bless her - with a Greenfield pusher. Might make that permanent ... Best regards to all, Harry.
Sorry to hear you are laid up mate.I hope it doesn't keep you from shooting for too long.
I saw on AHN that Forbes has ordered a few. No price or date. Always is nice to deal with Lewis.
It's been seven weeks now but it is now closing up nicely. Still a pain and I haven't been past the mailbox in slippers. Have to cut the side out of a shoe for a while when I get moving; but all will be fine in the end.
Thanks David.

Thanks for the kind words Harry and Dave but I don't know if I deserve all that much kudos! Not everyone was a member of my fan club!
You can't be everything to everybody. There's always someone out there that will hate you!
If things were different and airguns weren't regarded as 'firearms' maybe I would do it again. Angus would be very pleased!
I just love what I've seen of the new Sport so far but I see the US Forums are kissing it to death for all manner of reasons.

They are.
I always expected the Sport to be at least $1000 RRP. It has to be if it's the real deal and not a collaboration with another company.
The Beeman R1 retailed for just under $1000 five years ago.
If I was still in the business I would plonk down an order for at least ten for a kick off and hope a .20 and/or .22 were in the pipeline.
fenring wrote:Apparently, the 120 series had triggers so bad nobody could hit the side of a barn with them.
And the new gun doesn't have a Weaver rail.
And it's got Feinwerkbau written on the side.
And the stock won't work with a 56mm sidewheel scope.
And springers are dead anyway.
Etc. Etc. Etc.
Yes, all of that and the Company has still to get an export clearance. Why would you bother. But the market for springers is way bigger than the USA. Dive shops are thin on the ground in many places. Spring guns are here to stay. ...... Come on. dip your toe in the water again Lewis. Small and exclusive and pass the legacy on to Angus ... Best regards, Harry.
