Quick Load
Re: Quick Load
Yes ... you'll never buy another reloading manual.
I'm suss on a few simulations for obscure cases (I think the cases are different to what I have ... eg 17/30Carbine vs 17PeeWee) and huge cased cartridges seem underdone at times.
If your a handloading enthusiast and like dreaming up wildcats ... its fun seeing what they'll do. Sobering too to run some internet loads through and see pressures well above standard.
I play at its most basic level, others are using it to predict optimal barrel times and thus load straight to the accuracy node. Like most software, its got its limitations, but the more info you can input the more useful it becomes.
Cheers...

Re: Quick Load
Hi Mick & Con
Here is some information on QL
http://www.the-long-family.com/optimal% ... 20time.htm
Is a bit of a read, but i think it is worthwhile.Once you understand the program and how to calibrate it,it works really well.
Hope you enjoy it.
