Yes another HMR Question !
I'm setting up a Marlin 17V HMR for my son, Just wanted to see what people are using in the way of rings, whether or not you are bothering to use the weaver bases that come with it or are just using the normal rimfire rings, scope is a Nikon 4-12x
Cheers

Re: Marlin 17 HMR Ring & Bases
G'day mate, I reckon most rings for a rimfire will do the job, me personally I have an affinity for Hilver/Lynx type rings and bases.

IMO you can't beat the Weaver style rings for security. Many shops carry the cheap B Square Utility Rings which are very secure.
