** Spartan 12 ga. buckshot ( crap ) **

Has anybody had any kind of luck with this ammo!!
** I tried 2 of their 12 ga. buck in a Stoger Coach Gun and after firing, I could NOT open the gun!! I had to 'brake' it over my knee to get it open. Went back to some bird shot and everything worked fine! I try another 2 buck shot and the same thing, the gun won't open without a lot of muscle ! Back to some other ammo and everything is fine. O.K., this time I'll try only one buck shot, again the gun won't open with out a real struggle!!
I gave up on this crap, and won't buy anything from Spartan Guns and Ammo! I can only imagine what their other products are like, and I never will!
So far no response to the e-mail I sent!**
It's made in the European Union!

I will point out that there is a company in South Australia with a very similar name - Spartan Projectiles - that have been producing cast bullets for a few years, and have a pretty good reputation from what I hear. But they don't make buckshot.

As most people know on here, I use a lot of shotgun ammo, and last year used a hell of a lot of spartan, with no issues whatsoever, potentially it is just too hot in your own shotgun, in all of ours, we never had any issues that come to mind. Personally, I'll keep using the stuff from time to time, it is cheap, does the job, and has been issue free.

Sounds like as above to much pressure for your shotgun. Is your shotgun fixed choke or changeable and what choke size are you running. As buck shot down a barrel with full choke is a tight fit.
