Well done to Peter breaking my previous Australian Light Gun record of 2.067 inches shot in Brisbane in 2010 (also using a borrowed rifle in 6.5 Lapua and a March scope - I think there is a hint for competitors there!).

The challenge is now set for the first Light Gun group under two inches!

congratulations to all on the day, with special mention to Nick Aargen (LG Score AGG), Mick (LG Group Agg) and Tim pavey (HG Score & Group Aggs) :D

The superb outright Australian 1000yd BR LG Record group of 2.010" achieved by Peter Varley is truly a world class performance. :D :D :D

Naturally, given his superb achievement, Peter easily qualifies for the first Australian :D smiley :D patch that has been awarded in a number of years.

For those, who may be unaware, to qualify for either our :D smiley :D or the equivalent IBS '"screamer" award, competitors must achieve a group of less than 3" in the LG class or 5" in the HG class.

(over the next few weeks when all results are in, the 1st 2014 Extravision International Postal Match summary will be posted)

cheers

Not all that mediocre as an average agg mate plenty of blokes would kill to get a 6 inch agg.

I do wonder wether you should go to Brisbane for a shot as it appears that Canberra based shooters do well at Brisbane and Brisbane based shooters do well at Canberra .... you might have trouble borrowing a rifle after all this though particularly a 6.5x47 Lapua ...

By the way well done Mr Varley a fine effort
