Anyone is welcome to use my press and stuff before we head out to the property. It's not flash but will happily FLS and seat pills in most magnum rounds. (excluding Glenn's shoulder fired howitzer)

If 4kg of 2209 and a couple of hundred Fed 215M's turn up at your door, you know why!

Put me in !!

I will bring myself, wife, and 50 Cal along

I will likely also bring a press etc to keep the food up to my .577NE, so if anyone needs to reload, just bring your dies and consumables....the rest I have as a portable setup, and will have it onsite.

I am really looking forward to this .......

No minimum as such mate, I do, however, recommend a 308Win as a good place to start.

Bring what you are most comfortable with and ensure it has premium/bonded or monolithic projectiles in the mag.

Depending if I take up the shooting rig......which means I will float it up on my transporter, I might be able to cart up some rifles/ammo for those flying........I will be leaving from the outskirts of Sydney......not exactly sure which way I will go yet, but as it gets closer I will let you know and see if I am any help to you.
I will have a safe onboard that will hold a lot of gear

for those driving, we might be able to travel up convoy style.....

And again BB, thanks very much for doing this.....a very kind thing to do

How do you think a 405gr cast 45cal at 1200fps would go.
Keep thinking about the 45/70 with black powder, I'll have to do some testing in wet newspaper but if I can get 36" plus penetration do you think it will do the job.
Was a post over AHN about a bloke who took one with 45/90 using BP penetration wasn't an issue but it was a case of keep shooting until the mag was empty.

I have done that before 220, but mine were running at about 1450fps. No issues what so ever! I think mine were 410gn after the gas check was added. They will do the job I have no doubt.

Thanks mate have a new mould on the way so once it gets here I will start some testing, with 350gr and 2F I'm getting around 1300fps, I'll see what the 405 are running at and might even give some 3F a try.

Just thought I'd add, mine were being driven by smokeless powder, not the BP magic, hence the extra velocity.... From memory it was 2209 or 2205, don't quote me as it was a few beers ago now.
