howa 20 prac
Picked it up late yesterday after getting home. .
A barrel is lighter than I wanted but will be great for walking
Started doing load set up and cleaning barrel it was test fired.
Its a tse 1 in 10 twist at 24in long..
I set a 40gr vmax to the lands oal came out 59.15 feeds fine.a 34 gr shots cam out 57.5..
So will load some up with about 25.5 of 8208 for a start. .
But I don't when I'll get shoot it..

Arsehole, you just wanted to show off the stock again, didn't ya.
Hope it works out for you mate, don't know how it would work in that one but give 2207 a go, its all I run in the 20/222, and theres not much difference in the capacity.

Yes camel I'll try not to post pictures of the stock again. .but what's even better it was under $90 + post. .
But if don't shoot it doesn't matter how good it looks. .
Think I have some 2207 left

Re: howa 20 prac
Hi crackers,
Great looking set up
If you hadn't have told me how much the stock was I would never have known. I would have thought it was a lot more than that.
I only ran Benchmark2 in my 20 prac so can't help much.
Let us know how she performs when you can. No rush.
Good luck with it.
Regards
Teepee

It looks similar to my martini stock but with a thumbhole and I do love that stock.

Looks as good in the photos as it does in the flesh. That new stock wax has come up a treat. I called around to see crackers tonight and hefted the beastie - while it might be a little lighter in the barrel than he wanted it balances very well.
Crackers I have some 2206H, 2207 and BM1 if you want to give them a try.

Re: howa 20 prac
Hey crackers,
I've still got some once fired rem brass in the cupboard if you would like them. They were originally 223 necked down to 20 practical, no neck turn.
Probably close to a hundred give or take a few.
Let me know when you get a chance, no rush.

Re: howa 20 prac
Thanks crackers
Pm me your address again, I seem to have put it in a safe place.
I'll get those cases wrapped up next week for you.
Hang on to those 55's , I will take them of your hands as soon as you want to get them to me.
Once again, no rush.
Do you want anymore of the 50's?

Re: howa 20 prac
So the prac is not shooting as good I think it should. .
Have tried different pills 32s 39s and 40s and 2 different types of powder and 4 different people shooting it.also re bedded in front of barrel. .
Can get to shots good and one off all the time at best.
Having checked mounts and everything that we can think of.
Next to try is a different scope and remove bedding under barrel. Barrel is cleaning real good each time its had about 50 shots out it...
What do you think and what would you do..

How did you go with your neck tension and neck clearance issues mate ? that may be your trouble, but I am unsure.
