Re: 2015 BUFFATHON - Take 2
Most of you know who I am and what I do for a crust, as well as being a guide for the "Buffathon" I will also be the senior medical person on hand.
please PM me with any medical problems you or younger family members may or do have.
Discretion is assured, but I am not "god". I cant help/fix what I don't know about.
A complete medical kit including defibrillator will be at the base camp.
A personal small first aid kit is advised.
I will also provide mid sized med kits for your use, I can also do some refresher training on first aid (campfire medicine or structured) if you would like.

Generally speaking the following is good.
2 x 15cm Heavy Crepe bandages
1 x Triangle bandage
pkt of bandaids
pkt of "panadol"
small tweezers
small scissors
qty of oral rehydration salts.
The above is a suitable start that you can modify to suit your own needs.
Dont forget adequate quantities of any personal medication as well.

I was having the same thought Trevort. This might be the push I need to get fit. Might even start planning a NZ chamois hunt in 2016 to make it stick.trevort wrote:It's sounding like this belly needs to get smaller and my fitness level go up. cheers

btw I am bored sitting in melb airport waiting for a delayed flight. maybe I can ask the jetstar folk where I check in my guns and buffalo just to see if I get a reaction
Hey BB, I have zero interest in bringing back a trophy other than the ones stored in my camera. I can get the attitude that if you don't want the trophy then don't shoot the animal so if that applies all cool, just point me at the pigs after some lessons on how to hit them on the run

Lesson on shooting pigs on the run.
Put crosshairs a few inches forward of front shoulder of running pig. keep swinging, squeeze trigger, keep swinging..... It's that simple mate

Re: 2015 BUFFATHON - Take 2
I have been banned from having any heads or skins in the house and I don't really have the coin for a full mount but I reckon something like this is really cool and could find a spot in the shed for it.
Wondering if there would be any objections to hanging heads in my little office at work?

I am with you Bimbo. That looks great! A nice bit of eucalypt hardwood would look even better.
