Knackers
Na mate, its not that easy. I live in a very small country town and I work in the same small country town. Collegues (workmates ) (1) live across the road & (2) coach my son at footy. Loose lips eventually sink ships. :x And if I take a sicky someone has to cover for me and that stuffs up their weekend. Then I owe big time.

For those fellas going in the rimfire fly, what type of ammo do you use for that distance?
For 50 yard comps I use Eley Match but for all my other shooting I use Zappers. The Zappers shoot pretty dam good for cheap ammo IMO, but I am a bit worried after reading Gavin from NZ posts about the velocities that he recorded. As he stated for 50 yards they shoot well but at distance the flyers that I got, I always blamed myself for.

I'm thinking that the Eley @1057 fps will be to slow for 200 mtrs and get blown off course badly.

Knackers,

RWS R100 is what I use. Its a bit faster then normal target ammo. You dont need as much elevation with it. I tested it against R50 and at 200yds it shot about 6" higher. It is designed for 100m so its doing around 1180fps compared to about 1120fps for R50.

Knackers,

Thats great mate just like the weather at Canberra for a Fly shoot .. should add some reality.

Either way its easier to predict wind like that than pick the changes in soft conditions a lot of the time.

Trevort,

Don't listen to me !!!! I don't know shit most days. I can identify it by smell on the good days.

Don't worry too much about the shoot .. it will be good.

Well

I am wishing you all the best luck at the shoot. Hopefully some of you fellas get the bug and eventually end up hooked on the benchrest stuff.

300m.... I am going to have a guess that the aggregate for group will be 1.6".

GOODLUCK!

Cheers
