G’Day competition shooters
Can someone please tell me when scores are posted and people are referring to smallest group and aggregate, how many shots they are referring too?
Also how is an aggregate score calculated? Is it taken from the centre of each group or from some other datum point.
And my last question, on aggregates again is, are these given only for individuals or for groups of competitors? For example in the recent postal match comparisons posted by dg, J O’Hara got the smallest group with an amazing 2.996” and then the top 5 aggregate was 4.57”. Was this his best 5 groups or the best groups of the five top shooters?
Sorry if this is a bit simple but there just isn’t anywhere local I can go to learn some of this stuff
Thanks
Dr G

Re: A novice question about BR shooting
In 1000yard br the light gun group is five shots and the heavy gun is ten shots.
The aggregate is the size of two groups added together and divided by two.
In fly and short range br the group's are five shot.
Cheers

The top five aggregate is five different shooters.
Groups are measured center to center of the two widest shots.
