Guys, I would like to load some real light pills in my 06 for the upcoming MISSATHON. they will be for splatting bunnies and the likes at range.
I'd like to load (if possible) some 80 or 100 grain pills and make them scream out of the muzzle at around 3500fps. ( again, if possible)
anyone done this before?
cheers
BB

BB,
Never seen 80gn but 100's should do the job.
If you are near a Target Rifle club, grab some 155 Dyer HBC's, bloody good for vaporising lil still and good for up to Donkeys.
Or you could try some (I think they are called ??) accelerator factory ammo, or try and get some .308/.224 sabots.
hehe 55gn BT's out of a "Dirty Aught 6" should scream.

Pretty sure 'the bullet factory' makes a 90gr hp. But I think it is for reduced 308 loads (thin jackets).

BB,
I run 125 grain Speer TNTs in my 30 ought. From memory they are pushing along at around 3200 fps. They are nicely explosive on all sorts of creatures, accurate and not too expensive.
Have fun vapourising!

CZ550

I haven't used vmax's in the 30 cal but they should make a mess, the 95's in 6.5 sure do.

why not try some speer 130 hp's, they have a BIG hollow point, should splat small things real good.
