yep no such thing as a stupid question.

It helps cut down the glare and reflection on or coming back to the wind screen, makes it easier to see out the wind screen particularly if it a bit dusty. it is worse when the light is window mounted like mine as the angle across the windscreen is worse, when they are through the roof it is not such an issue

Oh and cost not a hell of a lot... well I was thinking I would sort a price out and any profit although small donate back to the running of the site. I don't believe in making a quid at the expense of this site.

Ill let you know.

I have one of the smaller (175mm?) Powabeams. In a door mount and the glare is a pain. If I measure it can you make a shield for it and post it with MISSED's?

I have one of the wire clamp it tools here - it should work ok to hold the shield in the place.

Cheers, Jason.

No worries Jason I should be able to sort something out, the LGS has one in stock I think so I should be able test fit over there. worst comes to worst you might have to do a little bit of final tweaking. its just a mater of getting the groove and final shape right so it sits nice.

Ill be able to send them all together no stress, by the way it sounds Aus post are doing thing will probably be the cheapest way

I will more than likely send the one for the 11" light with out the rolled edge around the sides and front as I am not sure how long to make it at this stage, unless I get the chance to test run on my mates light.

hmmm cool 8)

Has been a while like I said, I made a ordinary but useable window mount for my powabeam, can't remember the glare but it was no doubt there. I wonder if it would look silly hanging out the window of the swift

That might be the way to do it then James can modify it to suit.

Seeing everyone is jumping onto the band wagon, Id be happy to take one off your hands too flip, just would like the sides to be a bit higher, more straight out than sloped down towards the front, around 8 inches from the leading edge of the light to the front of the shield, mines only a 7 incher. Please 8) Ill even let Andrew store it for me till I get down to pick it up.
