Bloody linseed oil to finish a rifle stock.

after changing the water 6 times I was still getting linseed out of it.

That looks like a prick of a job mate. How do you get the middle of the stock boiled though? Looks like the butt and forend are doable.

They use that stuff to piss off bloke like you mate, worst stuff in the world for a nice piece of timber, even if it comes off a Sako.

I ended up going down the shed and getting a 20 litre drum which just got to the middle.

So what are you going to finish the stock with? An oil or are you going with a polyurethane type finish? Danish oil works well for me.

I have tried Danish Oil But I have a blend of a oils and Beeswax that seems durable and easy to repair if damaged.
