I don't know of any Scout style mount for a Tikka. That said, you don't really need to mount a red dot forward as you tend to use them with both eyes open anyway...

You can always drop a Tikka into one of the forthcoming bullpup stocks... 8)

Yep that's the Idea when using a reflex sight. Try a forward mounted red dot sometime and see what I mean.

I shot IPSC handgun, rifle and shotty so can say I've experimented with a lot of gear to get the edge.

I have a Cmore mounted 3 inches from my nose on my rifle and its an improvement vs mounting it further away, greater field of view, faster target acquisition and more accurate because you aim more with the dot rather than covering the target with the sight itself and pulling the trigger.

I see your point. I have tried both and mounting further away works better for me. Everyone's eyes are different no doubt.
