Raising the Bar
F Class - 15 shots at 1000yds from cold barrel. There are better targets than this one too.
X ring is 5" dia.

Howdy Cameron, is that one of your targets?

Showoff Cam! I will have to take a photo of the electronic target in a few weeks when we shoot 900m. Fingers crossed its similar to todays 60.6 at 600m with the 6.5mm

Re: Raising the Bar
Al, that is one of many we are shooting at present. Just trying to get minimal verticle, inside X ring...maybe
The use of an accurate chrono has played a big part in getting the right combination.
Brad, I can't wait till we get electronic targets at our range.

Guessing it was 284 shehane with 180 bergers.
Re: Raising the Bar
Brad I am pretty sure it would have been a 7mm just curious if it was in a blue stock

Re: Raising the Bar
Dont know... how many does he have ? Apparently the one in a black stock worked quite well for him the other day looking at results on another forum.
Re: Raising the Bar
Not sure of the number he has but he has been known to sell them for what I reckon is too cheap in the past so he must have lots
I haven't had a chance to speak to him in person however in prep for the worlds I don't think it would be his blue stock. We will just have to see what he says.

Smaller case and projectiles for now. Lads in the know say mirage is the main worry at the upcoming shoot. I don't want to wear out my good barrels.
Some fun shooting at Belmont today. Was actually a 10 shot string in the X ring in good conditions.

Re: Raising the Bar
Wasnt the swiss miss then?
If the weather stays as still tomorrow as it was this morning, I reckon it will be 60.10 condition too. Love this time of year.

6 Dasher Brad. We can't see all the fuss about 1000yd shooting. Good conditions today. Coaches went home.Brad Y wrote:Wasnt the swiss miss then?

Best part was break in shoot to allow mob of Kangaroos to graze in front of us
This will be enough range time for us up here.

Re: Raising the Bar
An update of the post. Threw a few porkies out there for the opposition.
Now at the US National F Class Champs in the US. We got the gold medal today in FO Teams match and 3rd in the. Agg. 17 teams on line from around the world.
Last day of individual comp tomorrow.
Marty is near the lead!!! 2 x 20 shot matches at 1000yds to go. Very tough conditions.
After Nationals we shoot the big one, the World F Class Champs.
6 mm Dashers would not cut it here,
I am using 284 Shehane
Cheers
