I did a search and couldn't find anything.
I'm wondering what would be an average group size at 25 yds with open sights from a magnum springer.
I have an R1 tunes by Lewis and managing about 1 1/2 inches.
What about folks best groups?

Re: R1 open sight groups at 25 yds
Macca,
The R1 is capable of much better than that at 25m with the right pellets and shooting technique, but with good sighting equipment. My R11 for example will shoot 1/4" groups at 25m with H&N Barras but it wears 6-18x40 Bushnell. Depending on how good your eyes are and your own ability I reckon your groups are a pretty good indication of your rifles pedigree.

My R9 with scope will shoot 1/2 or less at 25 so I think that is pretty awesome with opens.

Thanks guys.
I tried seating the pellets a little and that tightened things up a little.
The target does look a little small down there!
Nice challenge though. It's the only range I have available at home and I haven't shot with open sights for a long time.

Yeah its fun being able to shoot at home. I can stretch mine out to 40 and 50 m so that might happen after this semester. See what the R9 does with some range.

Mine is indoors.
We were lucky enough to find a house with a really long hallway, in the middle of town so it can't get loud.
I still wish I had an R9 really. It's what I wanted but Lewis didn't have any at the time and I think he was already gearing down then.
I love the R1 but it is BIG and HEAVY.

I haven't held a R1 but I find my R9 big and heavy The new G&R 2-7x32 keeps it a little more compact though.
And with the tune it is only a smidge behind the R1 I think, Knocked off two rats with it this week
