Daystate Huntsman.
Can anyone give me their opinion regarding the Daystate Huntsman in .22 cal? How do they compare to their competition, and, importantly, how loud are they?????
Re: Daystate Huntsman.
Ok, I'll try another. What about the FX Royale in 22 cal? Any opinions?

I have the Royale 500, 25cal.... It is fucking awesome... that pretty much sums it up! I doubt you will find one more quiet.

I've got a Royale 400 in .177, it's one of the earlier unshrouded ones and is a not as noisy as you would think, fit and finish is excellant and the woodwork is superb ! Accuracy wise it will shoot well under 1/2 inch groups at 50m so long as I do my bit.
The Daystate huntsman is a simply an awesome air rifle fit and finish is superb and accuracy is.......well it's a Daystate there not much more to tell really . Unfortunately the Australian importer wants nothing to do with the shrouded version so it is pretty loud (depending on the variant...there are several power options 12fpe, 30fpe and 45fpe in .22cal).
Sadly if the changes occur with regards to the importation of shrouded guns (which I think will get pushed through by the AG)then any new import will be just as loud as the next. In short if you want something quiet find someone who has stock now and grab it as I reckon it will be the last we'll see of shrouded air guns being allowed into Australia. Just another example of the Australian governments agenda to get rid of anything shooting little bit by little bit I'm afraid.
