i have bought 1 manson reamer before and Dave reground the throat on the stock reamer for me in a few weeks, he said it woudl be better for what i wanted.

pt&g are a bit hit and miss. i have found them okay to deal with but it can take a while to get what you want.

Con- speak to Dave or Dara at Mansons if your having trouble. As long as you have either a print or standard reamer model number you should be right. As well at the 260 improved they did for me, they also did a 6.5x284 that I got them to grind only a 100 thou freebore on for shooting varmint weight pills. They seem very flexible and willing to help.

Yes Manson are fantastic ... the 458AccRel reamer is one of theirs, plus the 358CRG reamer I have.

Regarding PTG been trying to get the 308/25WSSM reamer on their specials for $88 ... but they are f#@rkin hopeless at email responses.

Should just get Manson to cut me a reamer but they're more expensive. I seriously can't understand why PTG has the reputation they have given their reluctance to embrace modern business practices like taking friggin' email orders, processing them and sending by USPS.
Cheers...

35cal on the 300RCM ... at AHN Richard Kymble has written about it in the Journal. We (Con, Richard, Greg ... original hey?) basically looked at the simplest power-upgrade to a short-actioned rifle which was easier to get feeding than a WSM. The one built was on a Ruger MkII stainless 358Win donor and the gunsmith reported it was pretty easy to get feeding. When I get around to it, I'll be using a Ruger short actioned donor as well.
Cheers...

Another thumbs down to PT&G and thumbs up to Manson and Clymer. With PT&G, it is very hit and miss as to what you get compared to what you ask for and it will take for ever. I found manson and Clymer usualy took a few weeks and never got something different to what I asked for.
