Bloody expensive though eh? Just been through the pricing to bring in a scarce sav 9. Pulled the pin on the idea just not worth it.

Re: Ruger 17 HH
Mate the ruger would sell at maybe $1,200.00 here. when it arrives, just not worth buying something and importing it at US cost of $900.00 approx for the rifle. The CZ will be available in Jan 2013 in the US, who knows when here????
The only way to get on top of the import thing is as a group, better if in the one state. Ive found a company that will send by USPS, a lot cheaper than air freight companies.

Re: Ruger 17 HH
Get a few blokes together than mate & do what 303 suggested, import.
Happy to send on the details I have of different importers. Best state to do it would be here in Victoria, Centreway firearms charge $70.00 for pick from customs, Maybe have a talk to seddo, geez he'll love me for that Perhaps ask him if he would put his head in the vice again. Its got to be enough to make it worthwhile to the group and Seddo if he agreed. I know he isnt planning anything at the moment, but I guess that depends on how many would be in

Best state NT I picked mine up myself from customs house in Darwin. Handed over my B709A and walked out with a brand new rifle etc. good luck finding 7615Ps in the States now. Between my work place we bought the last 20 that could be found through our exporter lol.

Re: Ruger 17 HH
Remington LE were making them. Now discontinued. Seems a pump .223 is redundant in a place where a semi auto is available. ESP in a police/tactical guise. AR's reign supreme with aftermarket parts etc why buy a pump? I spoke to Raytrade as they are the Aussie distributor apparently he gets Remington to make 1000 a year, well that's what they told me. But I know 100% that it's a discontinued line otherwise.

Re: Ruger 17 HH
Were you in with someone else on the import?
I don't know of any exporter who charges less than $350.00 for the export licence, then you have all the fees etc on top
