Winchester model94/22 magnum

To KJD , Yeah mate , I do know what a .22 hornet is , do you? I know that it's known as one of the most accurate CENTREFIRE cartridges around. Winchester introduced it in the 1930's and it's capable of pushing a 45 gr projectile at about 2500 f p s and now that I think about the hornet I might look at getting one instead of 94/22mag . There is also a .17 CENTREFIRE cartridge introduced by Remington I think ? running around as well , is this what you'se are talking about ? Both excellent round's for foxes and pussycat's , Dont get many of them up here , the pig's , buffalo , and crocs eat them . Kind regards

I don't get how the 17hmr is a big charge and little projectile either its little charge little projectile.

My hunting partner and I both have a 9422mag with a 1-3 Weaver scope mounted. It does everything well and accuracy for us is not an issue. The key seems to be the ammo. Mine shoots Winchester supreme and Dan's seem to prefer CCI. I'll have to admit the only reason we picked lever actions is because they ride in a western saddle scabbard real nice.
The price of Winchesters are going thru the roof here in the Arizona so it might be a good investment for you.
