Advice wanted on reforming cases to .260 Rem

Post by mick_762 »

G'day Gents and any Ladies of course,

I am thinking of resizing some .243 Win or .308 Win cases to .260 remington.

As i understand it you can put either case through a .260 Rem F/L resizer.

However will i need to turn the necks?

Cheers for any advice you may have,

Mick

Mick,
Have you used your .308 Bushing Bump Die yet ? I've ordered one from Sinclairs with 4 off bushings .330, .331, .332, and .333. The Winchester cases we are using measure up at .3325 to .333 when loaded with Bobs bullets, so i'm expecting to have to use the .331 bushing this will give me .0015 to .002 press fit, I'm expecting the die and bushes next week, i'll let you know how they go.
Mate have you got the gear to neck turn your cases after reforming to .260 Rem? If not I recommend you get onto Sinclair's site and have a look at the price of the gear, it's pretty well priced and Sinclairs are dead easy to deal with just order online, order is confirmed almost straight away with an order # and goods are delivered to your door within a week, none of the bullshit you get from australian gunshops.

Regards Rolf.

G'day again mate,
Nah dont have neck turning gear at the moment, and Sinclairs I have dealt with in the past and found them very easy to get along with.

Havnt used the bushing bump die yet, the forster N/S and F/L die are working well for me, I may end up selling it off unused.

Cheers mate
